ok...well, it's friday night and i won't be onstage tonight and that would usually bug the shit out of me, but looking into the near future, there are two gigs tomorrow, one on sunday, rehearsal monday, two gigs on tuesday, one gig on wednesday, icing of the digits on thursday, and gigs friday and saturday... i will no doubt have tales to tell of ribaldry, debauchery and drunkeness...
i will attend services at St. Mattress of the Springs on sunday...

The difference between you pros and us hacks... I was all excited because we have a gig booked. In June. One gig. Singular.
I used to be in a band that played a lot, two or three gigs a weekend, but we never had a schedule like yours!
don't sell yourself short, Chris...the number of gigs doesn't necessary corellate with whether one is or is not a hack...i know plenty of hacks that play insane amounts of shows and make buckets of ducats, and on the other hand, i know brilliant artists who play out rarely, if at all but still write and record a lot...
